When I am bored, I ofen go out to visit Oxfam. This is a new habbit in these days of working at home. There is one Oxfam in cotham hill road, where is five mintues walking from my flat. Several weeks ago I bought some literature crictism books there. It reminds me of the past when I bought many books at the east gate in PKU. A sligtly over 30 man was very harsh and rudeto these students and always showed his taste to these books. Sometime it was ridicilous. If you found some well qualified book from his stall and its price seems bit of low. He snatched it from your hand and said I wanted to keep it.  He was awuful but has the eye for good. Finally I leart he was the sole son of one Chinese linguistics professor. I respected his father very much and once listened to his lectures.

 

In Oxfam you do need not worry about such robbery. You can meet occasionally some old friends in English names. Beyond these, you definitely get to know some original English. Today I go out to top-up a mobile in Park street. The sunshine is gogerous and it is the most lovely Bristol summer in the recent three years. I turn into the Oxfam on the corner of Berkeley. It is my second time here, forget the previous. I am wandering here nearly one hour.  The begin words from The Progressive Dilemma hit me so hard.

I buy that accompanied with  The Communist Manifesto(with A.J.P.Taylor). Marx is still my long term favoriate. The introduction by Taylor is excellent and regarded as an independent eassay. On the way back , I notice the once Pier, which has been closed the early of this year, turns into a CD store. A Fopp-like independent shop. I drop in and the staff are still upload these CDs and DVDs. I come to the Pop shell straightly and pick out Pulp. If you have read my blog previously, you should know why I like Pulp. It vocal Jarvis Cocker once protested MJ in last 90s. Two weeks ago I bought one from Fopp, however, it had a massive scratch and was not refunded for I threw that receipt.

 

This Pulp is working smoothly when I am writing this blog for you. But I am missing one biography about Enoch Powell, Like the Roman. The auther is Simon Heffer. But why it, as a Oxfam second hand book, is so expensive? 14.99 Pounds. It might suggest I can go the Oxfam on Park stree again in another lovely Bristol's afternoon. 

 

 

 

最近，一名29岁中国年轻市长在苦守两道门：雨伞门和抄袭门。实际上，2003年，早期留英学子中，曾有一名“十面博士”，26岁官拜鞍山市副局级，在媒体极度活跃。后来学位问题被揭发，不得不低调行走江湖。记得有两位朋友聊天，一个说，英国就是好，公司里面没有勾心斗角，自己都没有碰到。另外一位回答说，那是人家觉得你还不配勾心斗角，没把你算进去。中国人的政治天性，到了英国被歧视，实在是一道深深的暗伤。大国崛起越高，这道伤痕越发红的鲜艳夺目。

 

也许拳击的“直拳勾拳加摆拳”的一根筋，无法理解“降龙十八掌”、“任督二脉”、“隔山打牛”等奥义。于是决定通过中英政治人年轻时代比较，拉近两国政客勾心斗角的距离，以证明西方的火箭，其实就是中国的焰火，而汉堡俗称肉夹馍。

 

所谓年轻，中英政坛都在大学时代开始。学生会历来是政治人才蓄水池，中英概莫能外。中国大陆，北大清华两校学生会主席，基本上轮流坐庄全国学联主席。英国稍有不同，牛津剑桥的有学生会（Student Union），但是真正出彩的的是牛剑的Union，所谓的Cambridge Union和Oxford Union，都辩论性社团，其主席多数步入政坛，成为领袖级别人物，比如霍华德（保守党前党魁，Cambridge Union主席）、克拉克（前工党内政大臣，Cambridge Union主席，全国学联做主席）。其他地方大学的学生会主席，也常常是未来MP人选，比如英国最为成功的黑人MP菲利普斯（Trevor Philips），就是当年帝国理工学生会主席。

 

在英国大学，也有各个党派的学生组织。与中国不同，团委与学生会关系，是党与政府的关系折射，团系人马往往在政治上更加注重掌控力和领导力的历练，学生会偏重于执行力。进入21世纪，中国大陆媒体浮现的“团派”概念，政治中年不惜以染黑头发，混入年轻人队伍。英国大学的党组织，不敢领导指导学生会，往往冠以youth或者association之名，发展自己的后备力量，其中首脑将来也能够在该党机器中扮演活跃角色，乃至进入快车道，脱颖而出。比如撒切尔夫人（Oxford University Conservative Association主席）、海格（William Hague,现任影子外相，Oxford University Conservative Association主席）。

 

毛主席说，党内无派，千奇百怪。假借英国的政治分野，今天的“团派”也许就是明天的工党，所谓的太子党，就是中国的Tory。而一帮游荡在海外的全英、全法、全德学联的候补博士们中，也许就有当年在玩摇滚的布莱尔，为了生计去研究冰激凌配方的撒切尔夫人，被单位开除的伦敦市长鲍里斯。

 

不过，人红是非多，人肉加搜索，中国80后政治人，尚未在政坛冒头，就已经在媒体中触足了霉头，渐有与“留学垃圾”看齐的卖相。因此，在海外做学生政治，唯一要注意，就是抓紧时间，早点把书读完，注意论文质量，不要被网民留下搜索的把柄。

卡梅隆开始北上宣传，Michael Gove和Alan Duncan是主将。最近常常看到Sarah Vine的专栏，才知道她和Michael Gove是一对，英国的政治人真的是非商即媒。

当他流行的时候，我居然喜欢的是小虎队，还不好意思告诉别人，听了《青苹果乐园》，感到很兴奋。当时家乡还传闻，小虎队被香港草蜢派人砍杀，而且是伏击，只有那个不是苏友朋，也不是那个小张国荣的跑了，因为他练过柔道。现在，我猜想应该是小虎队被草蜢的粉丝骚扰，结合那个最帅的那个什么虎体育不错，还有当年家乡流行砍人，所有的元素，被一群初中生所糅合，于是有了这么耸人听闻的故事。

 

其实，在1991年的一个下午，我对身边的同学说，晚上在本地一所著名高中的操场，有两帮人在对杀，领头的一个叫阿布，一个叫阿萨，问他去不去看。结果放学了，我的同学还真问我，晚上什么时候去，他已经告诉了谁谁谁和谁谁谁。妈的，其实我说的布什和萨达姆，那年刚好是第一次海湾战争。那时候，我就不诚实了，开始说瞎话，所谓相由心生，青春期的时候，长相变化快，心思更多，所以没有配合好这个规律。虽然油嘴滑舌，我依然很自卑，觉得自己鼻子太大，头发太乱，不敢说看过小虎队，还偷偷地想学跳舞，大概这就是青春期，抵抗不过世界，就做不修边幅状。然而，不过怎么样，里面都没有迈克杰克逊。

 

昨天在youtube上看他的thriller，那群僵尸跳舞，好像大话西游里面的牛魔王手下的小妖怪在狂欢：努力，奋斗！

今天，布里斯托大雨，我要出趟门。突然想起了这首《短歌行》，作者是曹操。曹氏父子的《三曹集》是我最喜欢的中国文学作品，特别是曹操，读完他的作品，会感到他是一个完人。

什么时候，我读到什么英文的诗歌也有这样雨天出门之前，想看一眼的念头呢？
